Two weeks of grass courts await us from tommorow

Tommorow is the day that the main draw at Wimbledon Championships will start. The suprising withdraw of Rafael Nadal, who was last years champion, made Roger Federer the highest ranked player that will play. On the number one spot was puted Juan-Martin Del Potro. Tommorow there are alot interesting clashes including the chance for a rematch of Tsvetana Pironkova against Jil Craybas who defeated her in the first round of Rolland Garros. The tournament will be opened from Roger Federer on centre court against Yen-Hsun Lu from Taipei. After him last year`s runner up Serena Williams will have to face Neuza Silva from Portugal. After then on court will be Novak Djokovic, who will look to make a better run from last years 2nd round where he lost to Marat Safin, will fave Julien Bennetau from France who reached the final at Kiutzbeal as a lucky looser.
On court number one the tournament will be opened by former winner Maria Sharapova who will face Victoria Kutuzova from Ukraine. After that Rolland Garros suprise Robin Sodeling will face Gilles Muller. Spanish Fernando Verdasco will have to face James Ward from Great Britain. Verdasco isn`t showing good form on grass and this is a good way to win some points from Wimbleon.
On other courts we see Elena Dementieva and Laura Robson. Dementieva isn`t very good on grass and it will not be a suprise if she loses early. Robson who is last years junior champion earned a wildcard for the main draw whe she will face Daniela Hantuchova from Slovakia. This match might be very tricky for Daniela as she has to face a girl that surely can play on grass.

Torsunov powers through Dancevic

Russian tennis player Dmitri Tursunov won his sixt career title in Eastborn by defeating canadian Frank Dancevic with 6-3 7-6(5) although Dmitri had a problem with his ankle in the last few games and he needed a medical timeout so they bandaged his ankle. The powerfull russian never gave his opponent any chance in the match making the grand total of 12 aces and making only 2 double faults. He made much more winner than Dancevic.
The match started very even as both won easyly they`re servis games. When Dmitri earned an oppurtunity when leading 4-3 in the first set he broke and then held his serve to take the first set 6-3. The second set was a real fight. at 1-1 and 2-2 Tursunov had break points but he couldn`t use them and he had some problems in the tenth game of the second set. He destroyes his opponent after this as in the tiebreak fist he started very well leading 4-1 and after that he led 5-3. When he served for the match at 5 to 4 points in the longest rally of match Dmitri missed by one inch and lost his oppurtunity. After this everybody though we will see a long tiebreak because of Dmitri`s ankle but he made a briliant return after the fast first serve and Frank sent his Demi-Volley in the net and Tursunov grabed the title in Eastbourn having alot confidence for Wimbledon now.

Wozniacki wins fifth title

Danis tannis player Caroline Wozniacki demonilished frances Virginie Razzano with the 7-6(3) 7-5. The dane made the better star as she broke Virginie to lead 4-2 but the french woman wasn`t about to give up the final so easy and leveled things up to 4-4. From there one everything was for the servers who were making incredible ralies from the baseline. In the tiebreak Razzano made horrible start as she lost alot times her points on serve and for zero time she found herself at a 1-5 situation. She tried her best saving two setpoints but after yet another incredible rally Caroline closed out the first set. The second set was the same story but this time Caroline led 5-2 at the french`s serve. But her game level felt down dramaticly and Virginie came back to 5-5. Then Caroline again served for the match at 6-5 and this time she didn`t give any chance of comeback for Virginie and closed out the match and the tourney as she grabed the big trophy and now is going to London for Wimbledon where she will first face the wildcard from Japan Kimiko Datte-Krum.

Becker wins it

Benjamin Becker won his first Atp world title at the Ordina Open in the Netherland as he defeated the lowest ranked finalist in tennis history Raemon Sluiter who is 882 in the world with a 7-5 6-3. Becker started the match very well and never gave the wildcard dutchman a chance to have it his way. Benjamin showed the dutch public his great form that he shows from the start of the year. In 2009 he won four challenger titles and had one final in Ramat Hasharon challenger. The german never showed his weekneses in todays match as he dominated each point. Although the public suported they`re man he wasn`t able to pull of yet another upset this week. Becker who is ranked 82 curently but for sure will have big jump will play at Wimbledon next week. This title for sure will be a big booster for the 28 year old Benjamin. The strange thing is he didn`t participate in the Australian open and Rolland Garros but now he will play doubles too with his countryman Rainer Schuetler who reached the he defeated in the semifinals in s`-Hertogenbosch this week.

Tanasugarn continues roll in Hertongenboshc

Tamarine Tanasugarn won her second title in S`Hertongenbosch as she defeated wildcard Yanina Wicmayer in straight sets 6-3 7-5 for just one hour and forty four minutes. The first set wasn`t much of a fight as Tanasugarn broke and just held serve to win the first set. The second one started perfectly for Wicmayer, who won her first title before a month in Estoril defeating Ekaterina Makarova, as she broke Tanasugarn and led 2-0. The Tailand tennis player wasn`t about to give up and leveled her game very fast to lead 5-3. Wickmayer then started making winner after a winner and made the score even again at 5-5. This wasn`t any kind of a choke of Tanasugarn who won the next two games easyly and won her second title in a roll at the Ordina Open.
Yesterday in the semifinals Tamarine totally destroyed the world number one 7-5 7-5 and with that result she became the fauvorite in the final against Yanina who defeated with alot fight Franceska Schiavone from italy in 3 sets 7-6(3) 2-6 6-3. Next week both players are going to play at Wimbledon where Tanasugarn has to defend her amazing streak to the quaterfinals on the way to she defeated Jelena Jankovic. This title will just give her more confidence in defending the points from last years Wimbledon.

Naydenova reaches final!
Aleksandrina Naydenova from Bulgaria continued her run to the final in Melila as her opponent Tamara Curovic who is 37 ranked junior in the world withdrew because of an injury. Before that match Aleksandrina had a thought match against number 7 seed Geogia Garcia-Perez from spain as she won 6-4 6-7(2) 6-3. This will be Aleksandrina`s second final as she has a hundred percent on finals because she won the final in Bogota last year in the summer. In the final she will meet unseeded Giulia Gasspari who beated the other bulgarian Bistra Otashlyska with 2 sets to one 1-6 6-2 6-3.
